1.    CALL TO ORDER

The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.

2.    BILL SPINNEY. COMMUNITY BUSINESS & DEVELOPMENT CENTRE INC (CBDC).  COMMUNITY INVESTMENT INITIATIVE IN NORTHERN ONTARIO (CiiNO) – REQUEST FOR FUNDING

Mr. Spinney addressed Council to speak to and clarify the letters for funding support sent in February and April.   The February letter was an annual request for funding support to assist in supporting the on-going operations of the Parry Sound Area Community Business and Development Centre.  This organization has not received an increase in for operating purposes since 2007.  The cost of operations have increased since that time and therefore this organization relies heavily on municipal support to help bridge this gap.  The April request was sent in regard to CIINO, a new project which the CB&DC has agreed to host on behalf of the West Parry Sound Area.  This is a new initiative under Fednor and is not a revenue generator for the CB&DC.  Mr. Spinney spoke to the applications made for this project and its purpose for the area.  He provided details on funding based on area support received.

3.    WATER ACCESS COMMITTEE - TERMS OF REFERENCE

Council discussed the draft terms of reference for this committee as presented.  It was identified that the Committee has not completed its mandate as there are several items still outstanding such as the kayak dock at Snug Harbour.  It was requested that these terms of reference be brought back to the April 20th, 2015 meeting with an addition to responsibilities to include the investigation of revenue generation and that the investigation of potential sites be amended.

4.    BUDGET DISCUSSIONS

Council reviewed the first half of the Roads Budget, with discussion on many items and a request for additional information in some areas.
