Salary Range - $39,675 to $46,311
The Township of Carling is a progressive, rural, single tier municipality located in Northern Ontario, on the shores of Georgian Bay. Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, the Records Clerk is responsible for assisting the Clerk’s Department in fulfilling the statutory responsibilities pursuant to the Municpal Act, and Planning Act for the Township. The primary duties include policy research, records management, licensing, cemetery administration and assisting the Deputy Clerk with administrative tasks in support of quality customer service.
The preferred candidate will have a Post-Secondary education with discipline in Records Management, Public Administration, or Planning along with 1-3 years’ experience in municipal/public setting dealing with rate payers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills regarding personal computers, corporate records management and MS Office. The successful candidate will also have the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, be detail oriented and accurate with a valid class G license. Knowledge of the Municipal Act and other pertinent legislation is an asset.
